Ankh-Morpork Dragon
This dragon is called up by the Elucidated Brethren to terrorize Anhk-Morpork
in 'Guards! Guards!' by Terry Pratchett.

Arzosah Sothy Lorezohaz
Arzosah is one of the great wyrms. Her scales are black, and she is about 30 feet
long, excluding tail. She first appears in 'A Time of War' by Katharine Kerr.

Chubby
Chubby use to be used as
a forge in a Blacksmiths, before being taken to the Sunshine Sanctuary for
Sick Dragons, from which he goes missing. He appears in 'Men at Arms' by
Terry Prachett.

Custard
Custard the dragon is a coward. He is the pet
dragon of a girl called Belinda. He appears in some poems written by Ogden
Nash. In the first of these 'The Tale of Custard the Dragon' he eats a pirate
which comes into the house, then promptly returns to being a coward. In this
poem Custard is described...
'Custard the Dragon had big sharp teeth,
And spikes on the top of him and scales underneath,
Mouth like a fireplace, chimney for a nose, br />
And realio, trulio daggers on his toes.'
In 'Custard the Dragon and the Wicked Knight' Belinda is kidnapped by Sir
Garagoyle, and Custard flys to her rescue.
Both of these poems can be found in the book 'Custard and Company'. 'The
Tale of Custard the Dragon' first appeared in the book 'The Bad Parents'
Garden of Verse', and 'Custard the Dragon and the Wicked Knight' first appeared
in the book of the same name.

Dennis
Dennis appears in 'The
Dragon Who Was Scared of Flying'. Because he is scared of flying, he has
to stay at home in his mountain cave, while his friends and family go off
to rescue maidens, and have adventures. He has a collection of bat bones.
Dennis is described as having slimy skin.

Dewdrop Mabelline Talonthrust
The First
Dewdrop is an old swamp dragon with no fire left. He has brown eyes.

Dexter
Dexter is a young dragon who discovers he can blow smoke rings. He shows off so
much that he loses his friends and has to win them back in the 'The Popcorn Dragon' by
Jane Thayer. Dexter is described as green, scaly, bat-like wings and with
hot breath.
Doreen
Doreen is Dennis's sister.

Errol
Errol (also known as Goodboy Bindle Featherstone of Quirm) is a bit of a
failure compared to the average swamp dragon. He is out of proportion, with wings
too small for flying. He's given to the Night Watch in the book 'Guards!
Guards!' by Terry Pratchett.

These are the sisters of M1. F3 is still a little baby dragon.

Falkor
Falkor is a luckdragon living in Fantastica (note that it is
Fantastica in the book... Fantasia is the film only), a world created
in the book 'The Never Ending Story' (Die Unendliche Geschichte) by Michael Ende.
The book was published in German in 1979. The English translation (by
Ralph Manheim) was published in 1983. Falkor is known as Fuchur in
the original German.
Firedrake
Firedrake is a young dragon in 'Dragon Rider'
by Cornelia Funke. His colony is warned that they must return to the
dragon city at the Rim of Heaven or face being destroyed by humans.
Firedrake is the only one to listen to the warning. He sets out on the
dangerous journey, joined by a number of non-dragon friends.

Gayheart Talonthrust of Ankh
Gayheart was an unusually large swamp dragon, who grew to the height of
3 foot 6 inches.

Goodboy Bindle Featherstone of Quirm

Gorgon
A quicksilver dragon, appearing in the book 'Dragon Wing' by Weis and Hickman. Gorgon is
controlled by the mysteriarch Sinistrad - a control that it continually tries
to break.

Greater-than-Great-Grandmama
Greater-than-Great-Grandmama is actually a dinosaur, whose descendants presumably
evolved into dragons. She appears in 'The Bad-Tempered Dragon' by Joan Lennon.

Kalessin
Kalessin is a large, steel coloured dragon.
He is the oldest dragon in Earthsea. He befriended Archmage Ged, and returned
Ged in a half-dead state from the Western Realms. He is also known to Tenar,
former High Priestess of the Tombs of Atuan. He appears in the books 'Tehanu'
and 'The Farthest Shore' by Ursula Le Guin.
Laolith
Laolith appears in the 'The Colour of Magic' by Terry Practchett. He is a gold
dragon from Wyrmberg. His rider is Liessa Dragonlady.

Lassie
Lassie is a emerald green
dragon, with amber eyes and golden claws. As a baby dragon, he is left in
the care of a boy called James Alastair. Due to a magic spell on the dragon,
James thinks that the dragon is a greyhound, hence calling it Lassie. Lassie
eats flowers. He appears in the story 'The Little Pet Dragon' by Philippa
Gregory.

This is the first swamp dragon that Captain Vimes meets in 'Guards! Guards!'.

Lord Mountjoy is a golden swamp dragon, who is used as a weapon in 'Guards! Guards!'.

M1
M1 is a little dragon that
wants to learn to read. M stands for male, and 1 is because he is the first
male. He appears in the story 'School For Dragons' by Ann Jungman. At one
point, M1 writes this poem:
"Not to make flames,
Is one of my aims.
But when I do,
They're red, orange and blue."

Moonpenny Duchess Marchpaine
Moonpenny is one of the swamp dragons introduced to Captain Vimes
in 'Guards! Guards!'. At the time, she is pregnant.

Ninereeds
Ninereeds was created by Twoflower's imagination in Wyrmberg, in 'The Colour of
Magic' by Terry Pratchett. It is multi-coloured, with green eyes.

Prothero
Prothero lives in the castle of the King of
Fallond. Many years before the wizard had found a dead female dragon, with
her clutch of eggs. He rescued one, which was Prothero. Prothero appears
in the book 'Looking For Ilyriand' by Jay Ashton. At the start of the book
he is wingless, and about 20 feet long, though he appears to not be fully
grown.
The wizard speaks of the doom of Fallond, and that the people must find the
lost land of Ilyriand. He also says that they must take the dragon. Prothero
is unwilling, but does go.
Psepha is a bronze Wyrmberg
dragon, ridden by K!sdra. He is the dragon that carries Rincewind to Wyrmberg.

Wyrmberg Dragons
Puff the magic dragon comes from a song (of the same
name). It started out as a poem written in 1959 by Leonard Lipton. He was apparently
inspired by the Custard the dragon poems by Ogden Nash. A friend of his, Peter Yarrow,
wrote extra lyrics and turned the poem into a song.
Puff was first released in 1962 by the group Peter, Paul and Mary (which included
Peter Yarrow).

Reluctant Dragon

Robert the Wretched
Robert is a dragon appearing in the first two
books of the Spearwielder's Trilogy, by R. A. Salvatore. The books are 'The Woods
Out Back' and 'The Dragon's Dagger'. The story revolves around Gary Leger and
his party, who are on a quest to stop the dragon.
Saphira
Saphira is a young dragon from the
Inheritance trilogy by Christopher Paolini. Her parents are Iormungr (father)
and Vervada (mother). She is sapphire colour with
white highlights (talons and spikes). She appears in the books 'Eragon' and
'Eldest' (the third book has not yet been released).
Skie
A male blue dragon, ridden by Kitiara in the DragonLance Chronicles by Margaret
Weis and Tracey Hickman.

Smaug the Magnificent
Smaug appears in 'The Hobbit'
by J.R.R. Tolkein. He is red-golden in colour. Smaug has a huge hoard of
gold and other precious things. He is also very vain. When Smaug attacked
the lake-town Esgaroth (a floating town) he met his death. Bard
was the captain of a group of archers in the town. A thrush tells him to
shoot Smaug under his left fore-leg. Bard shoots Smaug with his lucky black
arrow. Smaug crashes into the town, sinking it beneath the lake. And that
was the end of Smaug and Esgaroth.
Spike
Spike is a little baby dragon, who was part
of the 1980s My Little Pony collection. He came with 'Dream Castle'. He appeared
in many of the My Little Pony books, and animated adventures. He is purple,
with green spikes on his back, and a pale front. He has no wings.
Talonthrust Vincent Wonderkind of Quirm
Talonthrust is a swamp dragon, being trained to sit on shoulders, appearing
in the book 'Guards! Guards!'. He is more commonly refered to as Vinny. Possibly
the Vinny who was cruelly used as a paint-stripper for 5 years.

The Bad Tempered Dragon
This dragon arrived in the town of Dull on a boat, and proceeded to go around
being bad tempered. He is a greeny-grey colour. He appears in 'The Bad-Tempered Dragon'
by Joan Lennon.

The Reluctant Dragon
'The Reluctant
Dragon' is a story written in 1898 by Kenneth Grahame.
The dragon is a peaceful sort who lives near a human town. A young boy befriends the dragon.
Unfortunately, the townsfolk discover that a dragon lives nearby. Saint
George is called to deal with it, leaving the dragon and the boy to find a solution.
Tosch
Tosch is a male brass dragon
who is looking for a red blanket in the short story 'A Painter's Vision',
by Barbara and Scott Siegel. This story is set in Krynn (DragonLance).
Treebite Brightscale
A swamp dragon owned by Brenda Rodley. He is the father of Errol.
