Description:
The story of Muchilinda is one common to Buddhism, but it gained a great deal
of popularity in Cambodia during the reign of Jayavarman VII (1181 to
1218). The Muchilinda Buddha (the image of the naga sheltering Buddha) is
particularly common in Cambodia.
The full Muchilinda story can be found in the general Muchilinda entry.
