Location:
Lake of Thun (Wendel Lake), Sundlauenen, near Interlaken, Switzerland

Description:
Saint Beatus was a missionary from Britain. He and his companion, Justus, were travelling through Switzerland. As the were passing by Sundlauenen, they met some shepards, who told Beatus about a dragon who lived in a local cave. Hearing that the people were living in fear of the dragon, the two men decided to attack it.

As they approached the cave, the dragon breathed fire at Beatus. He raised his cross at the creature and invoked the Holy Trinity. The dragon was defeated and fall off the cliff. Where it landed in the lake, the water began to boil.

Beatus and Justus settled in the dragon's cave whilst they carried out missionary work in the area.
