Location:
Europe

Description:
House Serpents are a tradition found in many parts of Europe. They are still kept today in some areas, such as parts of the Baltic. House serpents are usually a type of native snake, encouraged to live in the home for spiritual/religious reasons. The serpents are often considered to bring luck, protection or some other form of good fortune. This relationship can turn bad, such as some of the Wibbers of Wales, which have been known to go on the rampage. House serpents are included as dragons due to the content of the stories about them. If it was not known the stories started with a snake, the story would seem to be about a dragon.
