Description:
This tale happened in 1421. Stämpfli was an ordinary farmer. He was out walking near Lucerne when suddenly, a dragon on its way to Mount Pilatus crashed nearby. He was so startled by this that he fainted.

After waking up, Stämpfli found a patch of the dragon's blood. In the middle of this was a strange dragonstone. He took the stone home with him and it was kept by the family.

Noone knows if the legend is true, but the stone is a real object. It is a round stone. The colouring is light brown with dark brown patterns. It was in 1509 that the stone was tested and declared to have healing properties. Today the dragonstone can be found at the Nature Musuem in Lucerne.
