Description:
Dragon Hill is a flat-topped hill near Uffington. Local legends say that St. George fought the dragon on this hill. There is a patch of the hill where nothing grows. This is where the dragon's poisonous blood fell.

Overlooking Dragon Hill is White Horse Hill, famous for its white horse chalk hill figure. The hill carving is about 374 feet long. It dates back to at least 1000 BC. Some local folklore suggests that this horse is actually a dragon, intended to represent the dragon fought on Dragon Hill.
