Description:
Uroboros is a dragon who constantly eats his own tail. It can also be spelt as Ouroboros. In Europe, it seems that this symbol spread outwards from Greece. It does appear outside of Europe too, so the exact origin is unclear.

The appearance of Uroboros varies. It can be a serpent-dragon, dragon with legs or a dragon with legs and wings. One alternative appearance is to show two dragons biting each others tails, rather than a single dragon. The Uroboros symbol is common in alchemy.
