Sisiutl is a mythical Kwakwaka'wakw (or Kwakwak'awakw) creature. Kwakwaka'wakw are also called Kwagiulth, though this is considered outdated. Sisiutl guarded the entrances of the houses of supernatural creatures. It was a two headed sea serpent (one on each end) with a third human head in the center. Images of the sisiutl were painted on canoes and above entrances. In this way, it would protect the people from evil spirits.
