Main Land Areas

Australia

Australia was originally inhabited by the Aboriginees. They have been isolated for a long time, and it has been suggested that their tribal beliefs are closer to what early humans may have believed. The Aboringinal stories vary a great deal across Australia; each region has its own version of them.

New Zealand

New Zealand was first colonised by the Polynesians. This was relatively recent, though they were already very settled by the time other explorers arrived. The New Zealand Polynesians are now known as the Maori. See the North American Dragons page for other Polynesian stories.
