Welsh Dragon Sausages

Black Mountains Smokery received a warning from trading standards about the labelling of their Welsh Dragon Sausages. Though the sausages included that they were made from pork on the label, it was felt that customers could get confused.
The sausage maker, Jon Carthew, said “I don’t think any of our customers believe that we use dragon meat in our sausages.”
A council representative responded that “I don’t think anyone would imagine that dragon meat was being used but we would not want vegetarians to buy the sausages believing they were meat free.”
The sausages have since been renamed Welsh Dragon Pork Sausages.
