Have a merry festival of your choice. I’m going to be out of the country after Christmas till early January, so the site won’t be seeing many updates. Soon after I’m back, I should have the first Flash game ready to put up. It’s not the most dragony thing, but there should be some dragon games following it.

As it is the first day of the international release (or in my timezone, the very early hours of the next day) reviews for the ‘Eragon’ movie are now everywhere. It will be some days before I get to see it. Though I don’t have a personal opinion yet, I thought I’d sum up some of the review points with links to those reviews. Feel free to post your comments on the movie in response, but as always, keep it suitable for anyone to read.

The BBC ran a story today about the differences in perception of Chinese dragons and the stereotypical western variety. The story was fueled by academics bringing up the idea of dropping the dragon as the symbol of China, due to negative views of dragons in the west. The BBC reports that 90% of replies on a Chinese website survey disagreed, saying the dragon should be kept.

Black Mountains Smokery received a warning from trading standards about the labelling of their Welsh Dragon Sausages. Though the sausages included that they were made from pork on the label, it was felt that customers could get confused.
